Connecting with Customers


Each year, SASD goes to community events throughout our service area. We love connecting with our customers and the communities we serve.

Stop by our booth to spin the wheel and answer some fun sewer trivia questions. Our friendly staff will give you tips about what you can do to help keep the sewer system running smoothly. We also have some useful tools for you to take home, and some fun giveaways for the kids!

Fall 2020 Touch-A-Truck – West Sacramento



Touch‐A‐Truck is an educational community event that provides children a hands‐on opportunity to see and touch heavy machinery and meet the people who operate it. Funds raised from this event support community programs, including Read & Feed, Kids in the Kitchen, Done in a Day, and other programs and events serving the greater Sacramento community.

Fiestas Patrias – Mexican Independence Day Celebration

State Capitol, Downtown Sacramento

This annual event celebrating Mexican Independence Day is held in Sacramento on the evening of September 15 on the west side of the California State Capitol.

Admission to the public is free. Come enjoy the many booth and table exhibits, artifacts, food, musical and artistic presentations, and a unique international experience.

Coordinated by Mexican Cultural Center of Northern California.

Sunday Funday is a free, family event with entertainment, kid fun zones, food, and business and craft booths.

Sponsored by the City of Citrus Heights, Sunrise Recreation & Parks District, Citrus Heights Chamber, and local businesses.

Giant Pumpkin Festival

Elk Grove Regional Park

The annual Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival welcomes guests of all ages to Elk Grove Regional Park over the first weekend in October. What began in 1994 as a small harvest celebration is now Elk Grove’s largest family festival and attracts an estimated 60,000 guests each year!

Some of California’s heftiest pumpkins will weigh off at the festival. The festival has something for everyone with many attractions, including the pumpkin recipe contest, scarecrow-making contest, kids’ zone, live entertainment, an art walk, crafts, pumpkin food, and a race across the lake between giant pumpkin boats!

Hosted by the Cosumnes Community Services District (CSD) Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with many sponsors.
