Stan Dean

Director of Policy & Planning

As the Chief of Policy & Planning of the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) and Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD), Stan Dean is responsible for overseeing long-range planning efforts and development of high level policy for the Districts. After heading up the Biosolids Program and the Engineering Section for SRCSD's Wastewater Treatment Plant, Dean was appointed Plant Manager in November 1997. In July 2005, SRCSD conveyance facilities were added to his responsibilities. Until his appointment as Chief of Policy & Planning in 2008, he was in charge of operations, maintenance, the construction program and the laboratory for all SRCSD treatment and conveyance facilities.

Dean holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master's of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
