SASD/SRCSD New Building & Corporation Yard
Construction of the new SASD/SRCSD Building & Corporation Yard began in August 2007 and is located on 24 acres adjacent to Safetyville on Bradshaw Road, just south of Goethe Road. When complete in fall 2009, the 24-acre project will feature the following:
- 12-acre corporation yard
- 40,000 square-foot warehouse building
- 130,000 square-foot office building
- 3,900 square-foot central plant to heat and cool the buildings.

Additionally, as part of this project, Goethe Road will be extended to Bradshaw Road at Preservation Road. This change will involve installing a new traffic signal and adding a northbound deceleration lane on Bradshaw Road, as well as upsizing the storm drain.
Once construction is complete, staff from two different locations will be consolidated into the new building. The facility is planned for future growth of staff through the year 2020, containing an estimated 464 people.
Animal Care Building
In addition to the construction of the new SASD/ SRCSD Building & Corporation Yard, Sacramento County is constructing a new Animal Care & Regulation Facility on the northwest corner of the parcel (as depicted on above map). Construction of this 40,000 square foot facility began in late August and will be completed and operational by February 2009.
